Hi there, my name is Dave Fox. Designing websites for childminders has been a passion of mine ever since my wife became registered as a childminder in 2004.

Not only do these tend to have the same basic style, they also advertise on your pages. Some also use ‘pretend’ domain names that seem real but are really part of their host site! I charge from just £80 for a complete childcare website including domain name, hosting and e-mail address. There are no monthly fees to pay either - just £50 per year (after the first year) to keep your site up and running.

Your very own website is a great way for potential customers to look at the services that you provide from the comfort of their own homes. Once you have a website you can advertise it on the internet via search engines, childminder groups or information services etc, and also on your correspondence i.e. posters, flyers, handouts and other literature or even local newspapers. Ofsted also encourage a good website, by the way.
