Children are also encouraged to take part in daily routine, including baking and cooking.
Engaging with the children in conversation and play helps them to learn and acquire a variety of skills whilst having fun.
I have a good sized, fully enclosed and secure garden and there is also plenty of nearby green space. Many activities are offered including a variety of ball games. Physical activities are encouraged including running, jumping, skipping, throwing, catching and hopping. There are ride on toys for younger children and during summer time other activities may include an activity tent/ball pool/paddling pool.
Outings may include library, picnics, baby and toddler groups, post office, garden centres, walks, local shops and local parks.
A child’s typical day will include a full structured activity. This may be crafts, cutting and sticking, painting, dough, cooking, and music etc. Time is also set aside for physical play and free play, with a range of toys to stimulate the imagination, challenge the child intellectually and encourage independence in learning.
Children have access to all the toys and equipment themselves. They are encouraged to select for themselves and put away when finished or wanting to move onto something new.
